Heat oven to 200’C / 180’F

STEP 1 –   Prepare all the below ingredients in bowls or mugs ready to go, this makes everything easier as it all comes together at once :

* these measurements will feed four, 1/4 recipe per extra person *

250 g fusilli pasta (or whatever type you have in!)

60 g butter (spread, proper- just nothing like stork)

45 g plain flour

450 ml whole or semi-skimmed milk

200 g / 1 pack  mature grated cheese OR 200 g mixed cheese / whatever you have in

150 g (aprox) chopped ham, bacon ect

small pack of cherry tomatoes, chopped    – and / or –  1 tin of sweetcorn

200 g / 1 pack grated mozzarella

+ seasonings to taste

STEP 2 – Bring a large pan of water  to the boil and cook the pasta to packet guidelines

STEP 3 – In a medium pan, on a low heat, gentle melt the butter. Once melted add in the flour mixing for 1 min- remove from the heat but don’t turn hob off!

STEP 4 – Off the heat stir in the milk a little at a time until a smooth sauce forms. Return mixture to a medium heat stirring continually as the mixture thickens, this will take 8-10 mins. Once the mixture is boiling turn off the heat.

STEP 5 –  Stir in the mature grated cheese, meat and tomatoes to the sauce- finally adding seasonings to taste.

STEP 6 – Drain the pasta and place into a medium baking dish, pout over the sauce mixture and combines all together. Sprinkle over the grated mozzarella  (+ extra tomatoes or breadcrumbs!?) and bake through for 25-30 mins!

Serve Immediately &  Enjoy! 🙂

This is a perfect recipe for students, busy family or even to bring to a dinner!? Ready in just over an hour you can adjust the fillings to suit tastes. I really hope you give this scummy recipe a try- please leave any of your own pasta dish recipe below! 🙂
